The Cleveland Show
So I am a fan of The Cleveland Show. It is a spin off of The Family Guy, the black version. The first episode was funny as shit! My high school cruse Sanaa Lathan is the voice of the big booty mom Donna Tubbs. She is Cleveland's high school crush that has been playing him sideways for the past 25 years for her jerk of a baby daddy. I know this character all to well. The classic case of the good girl gone bad. Wanting all the excitement of the bad boy. Now she has two kids and her mental is fucked. Her two bad ass kids Donna and Rallo. Donna is the "fast" teenage daughter who's main concern is boys and Rallo is the bad ass little mothafucka. You know the one the one with the same shitty thought process his father has. Coming from an black male this show could have easily come straight out of any hood in America.

Flash Owner Offers Jordan-Russell Charity Rematch
LEHI, Utah (AP)—The owner of the Utah Jazz’s NBA Development League team wants to see Michael Jordan go 1-on-1 against Bryon Russell one more time.
Brandt Andersen is offering a $100,000 donation to the charity of the winner’s choice if he can get Jordan and Russell to play a game of 21.
Jordan’s jumper over Russell in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA finals gave the Chicago Bulls a 4-2 series win over Utah. Jazz fans still insist Jordan pushed off Russell.
During Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech, he said he was motivated by Russell’s trash talk toward him during his first retirement.
Andersen says he has spoken to Russell and left a message for Jordan through a mutual friend. Andersen’s suggestion: Jordan vs. Russell during halftime of the Utah Flash’s home opener.
Whats the Real Deal?
So at first I'm all amped about this deal cuase it would be good to clear the air and for charity. But as I was thinking; this is nothing but a ploy for the Flash's owner to cash out!! Sure he is giving $100k to charity but how much is he making in door and concession. It was a great idea, but MJ has the ring and is already in the Hall of Fame. What the hell is Brian Russell doing? Working at Foot Locker? On behalf of Jordan fans we decline "dick face"!!!!!!

The Real Fre$h Prince
LONDON – Prince Harry turned 25 on Tuesday, becoming an even more eligible bachelor as he gained access to part of his inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana.
The quarter-century mark denoted a coming of age for the flame-haired prince, who is third in line of succession to the British throne and possesses both his mother's sense of adventure and her common touch.
The younger son of Diana and Prince Charles spent his birthday continuing his pilot training in the Royal Air Force, but he was hardly out of the spotlight.
British media ran a flood of pictures, showing Harry's steady progression from a toddler in short pants to an earnest soldier in combat gear. At each step — with his easy smile and approachable ways — he reminded many of Diana.
Other sympathetic images included the 12-year-old boy who walked behind his mother's coffin to Westminster Abbey and the confident 24-year-old who spoke movingly at a memorial service in 2007 about "the best mother in the world."
"When she was alive, we completely took for granted her unrivaled love of life, laughter, fun and folly. She was our guardian, friend and protector. She never once allowed her unfaltering love for us to go unspoken or undemonstrated," he said.
Harry and his brother Prince William were left equal shares in their mother's estate following her death in a 1997 car crash in Paris. At the time, the shares were estimated to be about $10.6 million each. Diana's estate was comprised mostly of her divorce settlement from Charles.
The Sunday Times Young Rich List — published in April — guessed that Harry and William were each worth 28 million pounds ($46 million). It did not break out how much was related to Diana's estate, and the present value of Diana's estate has not been disclosed.
Under Diana's will, the princes are entitled to all the income from their share when they are 25 and they gain access to the capital at age 30. William is now 27.
Patrick Jephson, who was involved with Diana's finances when he worked as her private secretary, said the princess' money was "very prudently" invested and that Harry will also have access to some of the considerable wealth generated by the Duchy of Cornwall, which is under Prince Charles' control.
"Of all the concerns that a young man in his position might have, money is not one of them, and likely never will be," Jephson said.
As a lieutenant in the British Army, Harry's annual pay is between 29,006 to 32,061 pounds per year ($48,000 to $53,000).
Harry and his brother each have a flat at Clarence House, Charles' official home in London. He is not covered under the government's grant to Queen Elizabeth II, which pays for her and her husband Prince Philips' expenses.
Dickie Arbiter, former royal spokesman and now a commentator, said Harry's new wealth was unlikely to change his life.
"I doubt whether he'll touch the money because he manages quite well with his Army salary. What does he need to spend it on? Very little," Arbiter said on Sky News.
London tabloids would beg to differ.
News reports have suggested that Harry and former girlfriend Chelsy Davy may be rekindling their yearslong romance. The Sun newspaper reported they were at a club in London for a pre-birthday celebration earlier this week.
Prince Henry Charles Albert David was born in 1984, fulfilling what Diana had called her duty to produce "an heir and a spare."
His life in the royal fishbowl has not been easy. He earned an unwanted reputation as a wild child — smoking marijuana, wearing Nazi gear to a costume party and nightclubbing his way through London's hot spots. Lately, though, he seems to have embraced a soldier's life, albeit with a few more material perks than most young officers.
Harry's military career, including a 10-week stint with the British Army in Afghanistan in 2007-2008, has helped make the public forget the earlier image of him as a thoughtless carouser.
After reportedly being seen drinking and smoking marijuana, his father dragged him off to see a rehabilitation center. The prince also had to apologize four years ago when a newspaper got hold of a photograph of him wearing a Nazi swastika at a costume party.
There was more trouble when his art teacher at Eton College, Sarah Forsyth, testified at an employment tribunal that, on orders from a superior, she wrote nearly all the text of an art project that Harry submitted to pass an important exam in 2002. Forsyth won a claim of unfair dismissal against the college.
There was more embarrassment in January when a newspaper disclosed a video clip of Harry referring to a Pakistani cadet with a derogatory term.
Now, apparently happily settled into his army career, Harry has become more careful not to be seen stumbling out of posh nightspots in the wee hours of the morning. He is patron of six charities including Setebale, which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to support orphans. He and his brother held a charity motorcycle drive in Africa last year.
Harry is third in the line of succession to the throne, behind his father and his elder brother.
There are precedents for younger brothers to become king, including Harry's great-grandfather, King George VI who stepped in when his elder brother, King Edward VIII, abdicated.
More likely, Harry will fall further back in the line of succession if William has children.
Jephson said the young prince went through some rocky patches but is now living up to his parents' high expectations.
"His record of service to the country, both in the army and in his royal duties, would surely make both his parents and his grandparents very proud," he said.

Vote is 240-179 in the wake of ‘You lie’ outburst by S.C. Republican
The Associated Press
updated 6:28 p.m. ET Sept. 15, 2009
WASHINGTON - Bitterly divided over an accusatory outburst — "You lie" — lawmakers voted Tuesday to admonish one of their own for his jarring interruption of President Barack Obama.
The resolution of disapproval against Republican Rep. Joe Wilson added to the already-toxic atmosphere of partisanship in the House. Democrats said Wilson's behavior during Obama's speech to Congress last week was an egregious display of disrespect that could not be ignored. Republicans accused the majority party of hypocrisy and wasting the taxpayers' time.
"At issue," declared House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, "is whether we are able to proceed with a degree of civility and decorum that our rules and our democracy contemplate and require."
Wilson, speaking after Democrat Hoyer, refused to back down. "I think it is clear to the American people that there are far more important issues facing this nation than what we're addressing right now." He said Obama had "graciously accepted my apology and the issue is over."
The Office of the House Historian said the resolution, which passed 240-179, marks the first time in the 220-year history of the House that a member has been admonished for speaking out while the president was giving an address. A resolution of disapproval is less severe than other disciplinary action available to the House, including censure or expulsion.
The resolution said Wilson's conduct was a "breach of decorum and degraded the proceedings of the joint session, to the discredit of the House."
Wilson's "You lie" outburst came as Obama, during a joint session speech on health care legislation, said that illegal immigrants would not be eligible for federal subsidies to purchase health insurance.
The shout drew gasps from other members, and Wilson, at the urging of Republican leaders, called White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel to apologize. But he has resisted later suggestions that he go to the House floor to express further remorse.
"I think that Mr. Wilson could have resolved this himself" by speaking directly to his House colleagues, Hoyer said.
House Republican leader John Boehner dismissed the resolution as a "witchhunt" and a distraction from the health care debate. "My goodness, we could be doing this every day of the week," he said.
The leader of the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, initially said it was time to move on to health care and other substantive issues. Republicans agreed. But other Democratic leaders, including third-ranked James Clyburn of South Carolina, pushed for a House vote.
Clyburn, in an interview last week, said Wilson's behavior was "indicative of the combativeness he displays all the time when it comes to politics."
A leading member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Clyburn perceived it as a snub that Wilson held a town hall meeting on health care this summer at a school in Clyburn's South Carolina district — where Clyburn's children attended — without telling Clyburn.
There also have been suggestions that recent harsh criticism of Obama has been at least partly motivated by race. Rep. Barbara Lee, a Democrat and current head of the Congressional Black Caucus, said that "today is about the civility and decorum of the House." But she added that we "can't sweep race under the rug — racism is still a factor and must be addressed."
A House Rules Committee summary of guidelines for members states that while it is permissible to challenge the president on matters of policy during debate, personal attacks are off limits. House rules note that a member could refer to a presidential message as a "disgrace to the nation" but it would be impermissible to call the president a "liar," a "hypocrite" or say he was "giving aid and comfort to the enemy."
Financial bonanza
Treatment of Wilson's shout was complicated by the fact that it occurred not during floor debate but during a televised presidential address to Congress.
In 2007 Republicans unsuccessfully introduced a censure resolution against Rep. Pete Stark, a Democrat, for saying during debate that U.S. troops were being sent to Iraq "to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement." Stark later apologized to his colleagues.
The dispute, by capturing the attention of Republican and Democratic loyalists, has been a financial bonanza for both Wilson and his expected challenger in next year's election, Rob Miller. Each has raised some $1.5 million in contributions since the speech last week.

Sneak Peek: Oprah Talks to Jay-Z
Jay-Z and Oprah
Photo: Rob Howard
The Exclusive O Interview
At 13 he was selling crack. By 30 he was a hip-hop legend—having gone, in his words, "from grams to Grammys." Now Jay-Z charts his escape from the hard-knock life, describes the reunion that healed the wounds of his childhood—and even reveals the standing Sunday date he has with what's her name.
The complete interview will be availabe in the October 2009 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, on newsstands September 15th. Get a first look right here.
Oprah: So tell me how you got into the drug dealing.
Jay-Z: It was natural.…
Oprah: Because drug dealers were your role models. There wasn't a teacher or a lawyer or a nurse or a doctor or an accountant in the neighborhood?
Jay-Z: Well, we were living in Marcy by then, so, no. And if anyone did become something like that, they moved out. They never came back to share the wisdom of how they made it. If anyone made it, you never knew it. That's why I've always said that if I became successful, I'd come back here, grab somebody, and show him how it can be done.
Oprah: So by the time you were 13, this was a way of life. Did the lifestyle frighten you?
Jay-Z: No. It was normal. And at some point, you become addicted to the feeling. The uncertainty and adrenaline and danger of that lifestyle.
Oprah: This is where we differ. This is where we differ. Because I'd be very scared! Weren't you shot at three times—within six feet—and you lived to talk about it?
Jay-Z: That was divine intervention. Divine intervention, and nobody knowing how to shoot.
Oprah: What happened in each situation?
Jay-Z: It was one situation, three shots.
Oprah: So he was a bad shot.
Jay-Z: Well, no one really practices shooting a TEC-9 machine gun, right? And when you're a kid, with little bony arms—no wonder nobody could aim.
Oprah: Many of the little boys who grew up in the Marcy projects are either in jail or dead. Why do you think you got to grow up and buy your mom a house?
Jay-Z: There's the gift, there's the spirit, and there's the work—all three have to come together. If one of those things is off, it can stop you from becoming who you were meant to be.
Oprah: When I met you a few years ago, we discussed our disagreement over the use of the N word and misogynist lyrics in rap music. Do you believe that using the N word is necessary?
Jay-Z: Nothing is necessary. It's just become part of the way we communicate. My generation hasn't had the same experience with that word that generations of people before us had. We weren't so close to the pain. So in our way, we disarmed the word. We took the fire pin out of the grenade.
Oprah: Do you and Beyoncé have a pact that you just won't talk about each other?
Jay-Z: Yeah. When you're a public person, you have to keep some things to yourself, or else people will just—
Oprah: Eat it up. I know. But can I ask how in the world you kept your wedding a secret?
Jay-Z: Late planning!
Oprah: How many people knew?
Jay-Z: Very few. The sad part is that we offended some. But people who love you understand. Because at the end of the day, it's your day.
Oprah: So here we are, talking on a Sunday afternoon. If you weren't sitting here with me, what would you be doing?
Jay-Z: I'm gonna get killed for this, but I'll tell you anyway. There's a great pizza spot we go to every Sunday. It's our tradition. It's a small place in Brooklyn, you can bring your own wine, and there are candles there. It's a nice date.
Pound for Pound The Best Young Fighter in The Land
'The Undefeated' stay undefeated!
Promoter Andrew Williams of R & R Promotions kicked off the Labor Day weekend beneath a clear sky Saturday night at the Hamilton County Fair Grounds in Cincinnati with a five-bout pro card titled "The Undefeated" lead by local lightweight talent "The Problem" Adrien Broner.
Broner, promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, faced late replacement Henry White, Jr.
Broner was greeted with loud cheers and applause from his hometown crowd as he walked to the ring. “Golden Boy in the house! Golden Boy in the house," a fan shouted as Broner stepped between the ropes.
Broner immediately demonstrated his superior skill as he scored early in the opening round with a pair of flush lead left hooks as White lunged with a jab. The second punch plopped White on his butt against the ropes, but he erected himself immediately. White abandoned jabbing his way inside and switched to clinching anytime Broner closed the gap. During one tie up, Broner drilled White in the head with three short overhand rights over the arm of his opponent.
By the second round, Broner had timed his opponent’s advance and countered with a right uppercut that stumbled White. White was determined to clutch and grab Broner, but the young prospect created space and unleashed several left hooks to the midsection of White. White continued to hang onto Broner at every opportunity.
"Quit wrasslin'," the referee warned White to no avail.
The round ended after Broner buckled White’s knees with a straight right hand.
At the sound of the bell for the third round, Broner came out quick to tag White with a left uppercut followed with a right hook. White clumsily sought to clinch Broner as he staggered forward. The pattern continued of White clinching Broner and of Broner landing punishing shots in between the referee separating the fighters.
Toward the end of the round, Broner threw a menacing right-left combo that sent White falling forward. White desperately tried to clinch but Broner sidestepped and connected with a right hook. White fell face first into the ropes as the referee rushed forward stopping the fight as the bell rang seconds later.
The official time of the knockout was 2:58 of the third round.
As White lay prone for approximately two minutes, Broner climbed a neutral corner and beat his chest for the flashbulbs from his adoring fans.
After the exciting, sudden end, Broner challenged Cincinnati Bengals wide-out Chad Ochocinco, who was among the celebrators in Broner's corner. "My next fight is going to be against Chad Ochocinco, number 85," Broner jokingly announced into the mic.
Despite the bravado, Broner is fighting for the Ohio state lightweight title November 28th versus an opponent to be named.
A professional since May of 2008, this was the seventh fight this year for up-and-coming Broner.
With the victory, Broner continues his undefeated streak to 12 wins with 9 knockouts. White falls to 4-4-1 with 3 knockouts.
24/7: Relax in Style
Wear a Pinwale Corduroy Sports Jacket
There are certain things our dads wore better than anyone. Corduroy isn’t one of them. But these softer, lighter versions don’t bring to mind key parties or shag carpeting. You can go from errand to gallery to dinner in this jacket and never feel stodgy or underdressed.
Throw on a Wash-and-Wear Button-Front Shirt
If there was ever a shirt made for the weekend away, this is it. Stuff it in your bag and it will come out looking exactly how it’s supposed to. The more rumpled the better.
Rock a Rugby Shirt
Wear lighter, more fitted rugby shirts that hug, rather than slouch off, your shoulders. They’ll look good on any guy whether or not he knows the difference between a line-out and a scrum.
Pair Your White Sneakers with Gray Flannel Pants
A lot of guys see all-white sneakers and they think Jerry Seinfeld. Doesn’t have to be that way. Try old-school lace-ups with a pair of gray flannel pants—it’s a way to dress up the kicks while dressing down the pants.
Pull On a V-neck
A V-neck is about as foolproof as a sweater can be. Warm without being hot, it’s easy to layer. Go for a navy one, over a white collared shirt, to accentuate what’s left of your fading summer tan.
Stay Warm With a Chunky Sweater
Cable-knit sweaters provide enough heft to be worn on their own, even as daylight starts dwindling. Camel hues look good with any skin tone and will set you apart from those who think winter must mean black.
Get a Pair of Slim Khakis
If you’ve resisted khakis because they’re too yellow/pleated/high-waisted, here’s a reason to reconsider. Cement-toned slim-fit khakis are the perfect pants to add to your weekend routine of all-jeans-all-the-time. And like denim, they don’t require ironing and can be worn with just about anything.
HOW TO BUY A LEATHER JACKET
A leather jacket is a long-term investment, so study up
A Softer, Kinder Jacket
Remember Brando as Johnny Strabler in The Wild One? Or Joey Ramone onstage at CBGB? They were cloaked in leather jackets so hard and stiff, you wonder how they lifted their arms past their waists. But just as we now buy prewashed T-shirts that look and feel as if they’ve been ours for years, leather has kept pace. Trading horsehide for the softer treated leather of lamb- and goatskin, manufacturers have created a look that you don’t need a Harley to pull off.
But it’s not just the skins that have changed; it’s the entire treatment process. Designer Rick Owens, whose supple leather jackets are obsessed over by fashion types, says the secret is in the timing. “It all depends on how long the jacket is washed, how long it’s dried, whether we hang or machine-dry. It’s not an exact science—it’s not NASA—but there’s a lot of elements that go into it.”
The Way You Wear Yours
Dress It Up
Sure, you can wear a tie with a leather jacket—as long as you keep both items on the slim side. This isn’t business attire; it’s night-out gear.
The Way You Wear Yours
Dress It Down
If you’re going to buy a leather jacket with attitude, the rest of your outfit needs attitude, too. A trim-cut biker jacket doesn’t jibe with comfortable casual-Friday khakis and a polo shirt.
The Perfect Fit
• A leather jacket should hug your shoulders, not slouch off them.
• Well-made leather jackets come with high-cut armholes, eliminating excess fabric—like a quality steak trimmed of unnecessary fat.
• Notice how slim and snug—and cool—this jacket is? Don’t be afraid to try on a jacket a size smaller than you think you need. It will often give you the fit you’re hoping for.
• Slim sleeves—that aren’t too long—are the final ingredient. And you want that ingredient list complete. Unlike with a suit jacket, you’re not going to get your leather jacket tailored.
• Your jacket should not reach halfway down your thighs. Like a good jean jacket, it should hit at your waist.
How Not to Buy a Leather Jacket
• You are not Indiana Jones; leave the distressed brown leather bomber jacket to Harrison Ford.
• And on that note, those World War II tobacco-brown replica bombardier jackets? Absolutely not.
• No patches.
• Leather jacket, good; leather blazer, not so good.
• Unless you just climbed off a Ducati, please refrain from padded, striped racing jackets.
• Zippers, yes; buttons, no.
• And remember, you’re not buying a leather coat, you’re buying a leather jacket. It should fit like one.
Leather jacket, $448, by French Connection. Jeans, $225, by Acne.
